Adult Swim explains Metalocalypse: The Dethgame cancellation

Yesterday's rumors that the Metalocalypse game collaboration between Konami and Cartoon Network (owner of Adult Swim) were confirmed today by a Cartoon Network representative. Instead of making The Dethgame, the two companies will instead focus on a Ben 10 Alien Force: The Rise of Hex game.The official statement from CN reads -"Cartoon Network Enterprises has indeed ended production on the previously-announced MetalocalypseThe DethgameAfter a lot of time and worktogether with Konamithe decision was made that the creative direction of the game would not live up to the high standards we had set for the project and we did not want to release a less than outstanding gameThe two companies are committed to a long and productive game development partnership that includes the recently released Ben 10 Alien ForceThe Rise of Hex based on the Cartoon Network animated series and we look forward to working together again in the future."
